Housing Scholarships

Spring 2024 scholarships are open until April 1, 2024!

Department of Housing and Residential Life Scholarship Program

The Department of Housing and Residential Life (DHRL) is pleased to announce the availability of six different scholarship opportunities for our current residents. Each of the scholarship are listed below and may be found on the Bobcat Online Scholarship System (BOSS) .  Additional application requirements may apply and a personal interview may be requested for finalists.


1. The Teresa Gholson Memorial Scholarship is open to all CURRENT RESIDENTS of any Texas State University residence hall or Bobcat Village who have participated in leadership positions, such as Residence Hall Association, Hall Council, Apartment Council or who have served as a Resident Assistant.


2. The Web Service Company/Montgomery Endowment Scholarship is open to any CURRENT DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND RESIDENTIAL LIFE STUDENT STAFF MEMBERS who are or will be living in any Texas State University on-campus community for a 2nd year.


3. The Susan Dudolski Memorial Scholarship is able to be awarded to one undergraduate serving in a Housing and Residence Life position or an undergraduate actively involved within their residence hall and one to a graduate student in the Student Affairs Higher Education Master's program.


4. The SpawGlass STEM Living-Learning Community Scholarship is awarded to students who major in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math areas who will be living in the Engineering or STEM LLC for the upcoming academic year (additional consideration will be given to students who major in Pre-Construction Science). 


5. The Elizabeth Falls Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate academic potential and emerging leadership qualities through participation in their community council, the Residence Hall Association, or other student organization(s). Additional consideration will be given to those applicants who have a declared major in the College of Education.


6. The Residential Life Living-Learning Communities Scholarships are awarded to students who will be participating in one of the Department of Housing and Residential Life Living-Learning  or Themed communities.
