Welcome to Texas State! Each New Student Orientation (NSO) session invites over 520 students to stay for a two-day experience on campus across 21 sessions. Residents will spend overnight at Richard A. Castro hall, and guests are able to stay across the street San Marcos hall. The goal of this campaign was to highlight TXST experiences, and reinforce NSO information.
New Student Orientation
Each summer new Texas State Students attend a two-day orientation to get them connected with resources. This summer we implemented a comprehensive marketing campaign in alignment with the New Student and Family Experiences team to showcase important information to introduce students and their families to resources and information.
Each of the large wall decals features contact information should residents have any questions, comments, or concerns during their stay. It also highlights a unique event or TXST fact. Highlights include: How Boko (our mascot) was named, the commencement river jump, annual events such as River Fest, Jump Start, Fandemonium, and more! Each poster is different and encourages students to explore different elevators, common areas, and spaces within the 7 floor hall.
We are excited to share the best of what these students have to look forward to during their time on-campus with us and hope that this echoes information they learn across orientation.

Move-In: Spanish Tile
In 2024, Texas State celebrated 125 years as a university. While 2025 saw transitions in logos, the goal of our 2026 move-in campaign was to focus on the rich culture of Texas State as we head into the PAC-12 in July 2026. Buildings across campus including our residence halls display hand-painted Spanish tile we have chosen to highlight for this year.
Fall 2026 is anticipated to be the largest first-year class in Texas State history. As we come off of the heels of celebrating 125 years, a new logo launch in 2025, a new brand campaign “Each and Every Bobcat” and head into the PAC-12 in July of 2026, the goal of our team was to highlight the rich aspects of our campus and celebrate the unique pieces that make Texas State feel like home.
Across residence halls, classroom buildings, and dining halls we see beautiful Spanish tiles spread across the space. For Move-In 2026, designs were created across our annual first year move-in lanyard, bandanas, community shirts, and volunteer sun hats to give visual continuity and to celebrate our university. All items are purchased, in-hand and ready for full scale distribution in August 2026.
