"Our team, Conference Housing Services, plays a unique role at the intersection of tourism, hospitality, and event management. Each summer, we host more than 15,000 guests in our residence halls for camps and programs, assist with welcoming new students and families during orientation, and support other short stays. We also work closely with campus partners to coordinate dining, meeting spaces, and event logistics. Our guests come from across Texas and the United States. While we focus on delivering exceptional hospitality on campus, we also aim to ensure they experience everything San Marcos has to offer."

GOALS FOR THIS PUBLICATION

Conference Housing Services hosts over 15,000 guests each summer, and has seen continuious growth since the development of the team in 2023. Each year, our team hosts 3 ACHO-I interns, and over 20 student conference assistants to support the operations across our 26 buildings.

The Conference Services brochure intentionally highlights experiences unique to Texas State. With the proximity to cities like Austin and San Antonio, this campus provides the opportunity to stay in a space that provides nature and outdoor spaces, large gathering areas, comprehensive dining, and incredible location. To support the team, we took the most important information and frequently asked questions to share with prospective groups.
